LORYAA was born from a look.
A tired look, often judged.
A look we are taught to conceal, correct, and hide — rather than understand.

My name is Vanessa, I’m in my thirties, and like many women with melanin-rich skin. I lived for a long time with dark under-eye circles that no one seemed to truly acknowledge.
Not as a skincare concern in their own right. Not as a normal reality.

Very early on, I understood that my dark circles were not a “flaw” to fix, but the reflection of different skin — thinner under the eyes, more pigmented, more sensitive.
And yet, when faced with the solutions available, I never saw myself in them:
